Low-mileage Japanese engines and transmissions crated in Vernon, California and shipped to Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Ketchikan and the Kenai Peninsula.
Alaska is a two-leg move, and we handle both. Your engine travels by road from our Vernon warehouse up to the Port of Tacoma, then sails north. We crate for the whole journey — not a shrink-wrapped pallet that gets handled four times and arrives with a cracked oil pan.
How it works
- You order. Online or by phone. We confirm the exact unit by serial number before anything moves.
- We compression-test and crate. Full wood crate for the road and ocean legs.
- Line-haul to Tacoma. Overland from Southern California to the Washington port.
- Ocean leg to Alaska. Regular sailings to Anchorage, with onward road or barge service to inland and Southeast communities.
- You collect or we deliver. Terminal pickup in Anchorage, or delivery to your address or installer.

What it costs
Alaska freight is quoted per order. Anchorage is significantly cheaper than Fairbanks or Southeast, and crate size matters. Call or text (442) 888-0318 with your destination and the engine you want and we'll quote it same day.
Good to know before you buy
- Winter affects schedules. Sailings run year-round, but weather delays happen. Order with margin if your vehicle is down.
- Confirm fitment first. Returning an engine from Alaska is expensive. Call us and we'll verify the engine code against your chassis before you order.
- Warranty still applies. Same coverage as the mainland — 90 days on standard engines, 30 days on performance units and transmissions.
- Ask for photos. We'll send images and the serial number of the exact unit before it's crated.
