Low-mileage Japanese engines and transmissions crated in Vernon, California and sailed to Honolulu, Kahului, Hilo, Kona and Nāwiliwili. We're 20 minutes from the Port of Long Beach — the same port your engine sails from.
Why buying from California matters for Hawaii. Every container bound for Hawaii leaves from a West Coast port. Our warehouse sits a short drayage run from Long Beach, so your engine goes almost straight from our floor onto the ship. Sellers in New Jersey, Ohio or Florida have to line-haul the unit across the entire country before the ocean leg even begins — and you pay for those miles.
How it works
- You order. Pick your engine online or call us. We confirm the exact unit by serial number.
- We compression-test and crate. Every engine is tested before it's boxed. Island freight gets a full wood crate, not a pallet wrap.
- We drayage to the port. Short haul from Vernon to the Long Beach terminal.
- Ocean leg. Regular sailings to Honolulu, with onward barge service to the neighbor islands.
- You collect or we deliver. Pick up at the terminal, or we arrange delivery to your address or your installer's shop.

What it costs
Hawaii freight is quoted per order, because the rate depends on the island, the crate size, and whether you're collecting at the terminal or want it delivered. Call or text (442) 888-0318 with your island and the engine you want and we'll quote it same day. Neighbor-island delivery costs more than Oahu — we'll always tell you the difference before you pay.
Good to know before you buy
- Confirm fitment first. Sending the wrong engine back across the Pacific is expensive for everyone. Call us and we'll verify the engine code against your chassis before you order.
- Line up your installer before it lands. Terminal storage charges start after the free time expires.
- Warranty still applies. Your engine carries the same coverage it would on the mainland — 90 days on standard engines, 30 days on performance units and transmissions.
- We inspect before it ships. Every unit is compression-tested. Ask and we'll send you photos and the serial number of the exact engine going in your crate.
